TAMPA, FL (January 26, 2010) - Elizabeth (Liz) Smith will be the keynote speaker at the Westshore Alliance's 27th Annual Dinner on March 16, 2010. Mayor Pam Iorio is also scheduled to make a "State of the CIty" presentation at the event.
Liz Smith was appointed Chief Executive Officer of OSI Restaurant Partners, LLC. (OSI) in November of 2009. In her new role she will lead one of the largest casual dining restaurant companies in the world. The OSI portfolio of brands consists of Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine. Smith joined OSI following a five-year tenure with Avon Products Inc., where she served most recently as President. Prior to joining Avon, Smith worked for 14 years at Kraft Foods Inc. rising to the position of Group Vice President and President of the U.S. Beverages and Grocery sectors, a business with $6 billion in total sales. In 2009, Fortune Magazine listed her as one of the 50 most powerful women in business
