The Westshore Alliance strives to promote Westshore as a regional activity center that is a vibrant business, residential and tourist community offering Tampa's finest shopping, hotels, dining and entertainment.

The Alliance focuses on promoting the district as a destination for both company relocations and visitors. On behalf of Westshore Alliance members and Westshore area businesses and property owners, the Alliance undertakes a number of marketing endeavors, including the following:

  • Production of printed marketing materials including brochures, mail pieces, and a map with major attractions.

  • Advertisements in various business publications including The Tampa Bay Partnership Corporate Guide, The Tampa Bay Business Journal Commercial Real Estate Forecast special edition, The Visit Tampa Bay Official Tampa Bay Visitor Guide and other publications.

  • Maintenance of this website, www.choosewestshore.com with detailed information about Westshore, including demographic data, commercial office and retail space availability, relocation information and information designed to appeal to visitors, including listings of area hotels, restaurants and attractions.

  • Distribution of "Upcoming Events" e-newsletters twice per month and a monthly e-newsletter with information important to the Westshore community. Subscribe here.

  • Compilation of demographic information about Westshore.

  • Development of relationships with area economic development agencies to encourage business relocations and expansions in the Westshore district.

  • Identify and secure funding for beautification projects for Westshore. Over the last several years, the Alliance has secured over $1.3 million for landscaping along Dale Mabry Highway and Boy Scout Boulevard and over $500,000 for improvements to Cypress Point Park. We have also initiated a public art program which completed a traffic signal box painting program and a street banner program.
