Whether you are looking to catch a pre-season major league baseball game, a college bowl game or see a headline concert, the Westshore District is home to many of the largest venues in Tampa hosting a variety of activities.
The 65,000-seat Raymond James Stadium is home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, University of South Florida Football, ReliaQuest Bowl, Monster Jam, Sunset Music Festival and more. The stadium, which offers year-round tours, has hosted the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), Super Bowl XXXV, Super Bowl XLIII, the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship, as well as many superstar concerts such as Kenny Chesney, U2, Beyonce, One Direction and Taylor Swift. “Ray Jay” hosted its fifth Super Bowl in 2021.
Just down the street from Raymond James Stadium is George M. Steinbrenner Field, the state-of-the art Major League Spring Training facility that is spring training home of the New York Yankees and the Florida State League Tampa Yankees. Steinbrenner Field sits on 31 acres and features two major league practice fields, a 10,000-seat stadium and 12 luxury suites. The event venue has played host to numerous concerts including Rod Stewart, Natalie Merchant, Moody Blues, Sting and Linkin Park.
